Overestimating their organization's capacity for change. Always start with projects much smaller than you think they ought to be. Pilot. Confirm value. Then go all in.

To many orgs go 'all in' from the start on a losing hand.

Marketing and internal comms. If Procurement spent 3 days with Sales & Marketing each year instead of negotiation training or the code of conduct annual box-ticking, it would be a much better ROI.
