What I'm Reading
There’s a lot of talk about using AI in procurement without much substance. I’ve got a lot of planned content and stuff in the works to really help you here as we look to partner with more organisations.
But, for now, I found this read by Coupa to be super useful on the AI front.
7 (of more than 70) Ways You’re Already Using AI with Coupa
What I'm Thinking (about Procurement)
I get the sense that, more than ever, procurement is divided into two camps.
We’ve got the camp that’s all about procurement and doing stuff to help procurement. I’m not a fan of this camp.
Then we’ve got the camp where people want to succeed for the business to succeed. That’s the approach. More and more in the comments to my posts I’m met with the former rather than the later.
These are the Dinosaurs of Procurement.
We’ll show them the way out over the next couple of years.
One Procurement Tech Focused Insight
I was super excited to hear what Sagi, CEO of Tonkean, had to say about an AI digital front door that manages intake. You should grab a demo to see what they’re up to.
I’ll have the podcast (audio and video up real soon so look out for that email).
In short, Gen AI can do a lot of the hard work and create a call centre for your organisation on how to buy with AI guided intake.
I’m excited for this.
One Piece of Content I've Found Useful
A stealth attack came close to compromising the world’s computers
Can you help?
I’m working on a video essay for Microchips/computer chips. If you’ve got any interesting stories over the last 2 years or so in regards to buying these or equipment around their manufacture, I’d love to send you a few questions.
Check this out here - make sure you get one of these books.
