🔮 Procurement Trend 2024: Connectivity of Data

👀 Without connected data we never truly go digital in procurement.

Hey Procurement Legend,

One of the reasons I had Process Orchestration as my number one trend for 2024 is because of this trend. I know many will state that Process Orchestration is hyped up. I think they’re wrong. They’re likely going to be the same people who have either an aversion to tech or want to protect the tech status quo as it suits their business model (Tech Consultants and the like).

For our second trend of 2024, I’m talking about the Connectivity of Data in our supply chains. At present, data is an issue across our supply chains. A lot of data is available, but not enough procurement and supply chain teams are making the most of it.

Furthermore, the issue lies in the inability to take data from one “area”, such as a piece of software, and quickly get that data into the hands of someone using another, but where both of these people are interacting with the same supplier.
