Hey Procurement Legend,
I’m going all British on you here to say, man, I’ve missed the warm weather and constant sun I’ve experienced this week. Here’s to summer working in the garden with a cold drink (IPA post 3pm right???).
Anyway, here’s what’s on my mind this week.

One Procurement Tech Focused Insight
The connectivity of tech matters more than most people think.
When you bring in tech within your procurement team, you really need to understand how to deploy it throughout the business.
Does it connect to your ERP?
Your Risk solution?
Your project management solution?
This matters more at the Enterprise level but do not neglect it in your SMB/Mid-Market org.
One Piece of Content I've Found Useful
This piece:
The article discusses the concept of "Generalist Disease" and highlights the importance of transitioning from generalism to specialisation in one's career. It emphasises focusing on aptitude and enjoyment rather than pursuing breadth and prestige early on. The author advocates for finding fulfillment by honing craft and passion, rather than chasing superficial markers of success.Check this out here - make sure you get one of these books.
