Never use a CV for another Procurement Role Again
Giving away my LinkedIn Secrets, Glo that AI Procurement Bot, and Dodgy Knees

Yo, Procurement Legends.
Not gonna lie, I’m excited for this weekend as I get to (if it arrives on time), nerd our with tiny plastic Warhammer models (Leviathan box set for any of the ultra nerds out there (did you see what I did there???)) - anyone else got any nerdy habits?
Slight downer though as I’ve picked up a knee injury in both knees and cannot run at the moment. Peloton rides are just about bearable. But I’ve found with adversity, new opportunities arise. I’ve been taking long mid-day walks at a gentle pace and getting some work done. Ideating on things like this newsletter, new videos, and LinkedIn posts, and documenting it within my Second Brain in Notion along the way (which now creates AI summaries for me without me doing a thing).
For any of you that are free members of World of Procurement, I wanted to share something I’m working on for my paid members. LinkedIn has become an incredible source of opportunity for me over the last three years.
I’ve had dozens of inbound opportunities come in which mean in short, that I don’t think I’ll ever need to use a CV again in my career. Sounds wonderful.
But I want to help you with this.
I’m going to be giving away my content creation secrets to my paid members and how to distribute this on social to show your knowledge in your arena, whether that’s strategic sourcing, contract management, or a bit of everything.
These will start in July, and I may even test run these as live stream events.
Regardless, these videos will live on this Substack in perpetuity. It’s only 16 pence a day 😀

I’m collaborating with Gartner.
This isn’t paid - I simply loved what Ryan and his team were looking to achieve, and I thought some of you might as well. I’ve always said I’ll bring cool things to your attention, and this is one of them.
I’ve been talking with the Gartner team for around 6 months, answering questions, sharing thoughts, and feedback on their big research piece.
I’m incredibly happy they’ve gone down the route of Procurement Functional Transformation. It’s clear procurement isn’t there yet, and their research is second to none. Help them out, get some good insights back, and let’s make the most of a good opportunity.

The Rise of Prediction Factories: How AI Allows Us to Replace Rules With Decisions
AI is about lowering the cost of prediction, which is the process of filling in missing information. AI allows us to replace rules with decisions, as the prediction of how long something will take becomes cheaper. Prediction and judgment are combined to produce decision-making. The rise of prediction factories augments people with superpowers instead of making them obsolete.
Generative AI Will Upend the Professions
According to Richard and Daniel Susskind, generative AI systems are already outperforming human professionals in some tasks, and as many as 300 million full-time jobs around the world could be threatened by automation. The emergence of unfamiliar new roles, such as prompt optimisers, will be important in instructing and securing the best responses from generative AI systems.
