How AI Agents will save you Millions
Seriously, don't stick your head in the sand on this one - Download the Whitepaper
Hey, Procurement Legends,
I’m always excited to share incredible content, and this week’s newsletter looks slightly different.
My friends at Kavida.ai shared an incredible Whitepaper on AI Agents in manufacturing, which naturally covers a lot of Procurement and supply chain work. I’ve captured some thoughts here, but do yourself a favour and grab your copy, read it, and reread it. This will be one I continuously turn back to over the next few months as I share more insights on AI Agents.
The Rise of AI Agents in Procurement and Manufacturing
AI is no longer a thing of the future; it’s transforming how we work in factories and offices.
One big mistake people make is thinking AI is just another tool to make tasks easier instead of seeing it as something that can completely change how we do things.
AI Agents bring a new dimension to this. One that I’m incredibly bullish on.
A Big Change is here, and more is coming.
By 2028, 33% of work software will have smart AI built-in, making 15% of daily decisions automatically. I could throw in any stat here, and many would still be sceptical. However, those who realise what’s on the way will come out of this best. There are many trying to protect their safe world, the status quo, or are hanging on for retirement…don’t listen to these people on this subject. They know nothing.
This is a big deal because it means moving from basic solutions that do repetitive tasks to AI that can understand and make decisions. Unlike old tools, these AI helpers can handle messy information, figure out what it means, and take action. For people in jobs like buying materials for companies, this doesn’t just mean faster work—it means completely rethinking how supply chains are run.
To keep up, start building teams that mix human skills with innovative AI tools.

How to Stay Ahead in Procurement and AI
If you want to succeed in the age of AI, you need to know how to use these new tools.
Learn About AI: Understand how these AI helpers work, such as processing data and making decisions. Take classes or join webinars to improve your skills.
Work with AI: Change how you think about your job. Let AI handle tedious tasks so you can focus on more significant, more strategic projects.
Try AI Tools: Start small by using AI for one specific task, like tracking orders or updating records. Show how useful it is, then use it for more things.
Start by picking one thing you do at work that AI could help with. Remember, using AI means your job can grow and improve.
Why Learning AI in Procurement is a Must in 2025
Knowing how to use AI isn’t just nice; it’s a skill you’ll need to lead in the future.
AI makes work much more productive by taking over tedious, repetitive tasks and helping people make better decisions. It lets workers spend time on creative ideas instead of busy work. Most importantly, it helps businesses stay competitive in a world where low costs are key.
Imagine if the Agentic Manufacturer scales and becomes the norm…I’m bullish that it will. The potential to save millions and make millions more should not be ignored.
For example, Dyer Engineering started using an AI tool to update their systems automatically. This saved them hours every week and let their team focus on more significant, more important tasks.
The takeaway? AI isn’t just about saving time; it’s about unlocking new opportunities. Start with one task, measure how it helps, and then use it for more.
Final Thoughts
AI tools are changing everything about how we work in procurement and manufacturing. To lead, you must see AI as a partner. Start small, grow your skills, and use AI to create a more substantial career and a better business.
The future isn’t coming—it’s already here. Make sure you’re ready to be part of it.
