Opening up a personal wound
It’s 2020-2021. Covid has isolated much of the world. We’re all working from home unless we’re key workers. The world is bat-shit crazy right now. It’s a weird time to look back on. I’ve got an incredible number of positives from this period. I picked up old hobbies, spent incredible amounts of time with my family, and started to focus more on my physical health.
But there was one area of my health that was severely impacted.
My mental health.
I’m still working hard to repair it in 2024. Without going into the details, I’m in a much better place.
However, this was not due to covid. I felt at peace for most of this time. However, what I stumbled into was the single most toxic professional relationship of my lifetime. A relationship that was focused on attempting to pull me down lower whilst ensuring the status of this “individual” was elevated.
