Hey, Procurement Legends,
Welcome back to The AI Procurement Blueprint Pulse. Seriously, this is going to be a wild quick read. I’m in shock, amazement, and I’m not sure if I should be worried or elated.
This week, I got hands-on experience with both Operator and Deep Research.
Honestly, I’m blown away by them both.
I’ve never been more excited about using AI.
Also, I’m slightly fearful. It can be better than me at some much of the work I can do. We must all keep this in mind. However, my optimistic side tells me this will be more of an augmenter than a replacer.
This is how I see it visually 🤣
PS. This is using Grok, which I’m also experimenting with heavily.
Starting with Deep Research, I’ve been able to research and create content at a scale I didn’t conceive.
I’m talking about 10k-word reports that go granular in detail on specific subject matter.
You’ll see some of this research emerge over the coming months here as I use it to provide you with the best researched content on AI in Procurement and more.
In short, I watched a movie yesterday afternoon (I’m chilling with the kids on half-term this week) and did two months' worth of research and work in less than 30 minutes. I was blown away.
I’ve created a Deep Research prompt for market analysis of software vendors here, which you should check out.
The use cases for Deep Research from LLMs are mind-blowingly good for Procurement. We’re in for an incredible time here.
On Operator, I’m still getting to grips with the art of the possible. This is Open AI’s first available agent. In short, I’ve had it do a lot of research, compile spreadsheets for me, and pull together data from multiple sources.
However, I’m more than convinced that all of my current busy work can be outsourced to it. I’ll report more on my findings soon.
In short, we’re in for a wild ride with all of the agentic potential with generative AI.
We have so many options when it comes to tech and AI, I know it can be difficult to know where to start.
I’ll do my best to educated and arm you with this content via this newsletter and my weekly deep-dives.
Please read my latest deep dive here to understand what’s happening.
See you next week for the Pulse.
📌 P.S. If this helped, Restack it so more knowledge workers can see it.
