Hey Procurement Legend, some progress was made on the WiP Title, The Future of Procurement, this week. This stuff is still raw, and I want to clean it up a fair amount. The 30 or so categories are still in absolute draft format and need additional context and clean-ups. I may have duplicated in a couple of areas but that’s okay.
This chapter attempts to set the scene, and it’s a big old scene to set.

Chapter 2: The Procurement Tech Revolution
It felt like we only had a few options in Procurement for so long. I typically came across SAP and Oracle-based ERPs with an appended P2P bolt-on in my early Procurement years. I heard through the grapevine that others were using Ariba or JAGGAER - I’ve still never used these. And now it feels like we’ve had an explosion of new technology in the Procurement space since the pandemic but many of the players we see now have been building since 2015 and garnered some visibility of their solution throughout and post covid.
